reconciliation
Students will have reconciliation next Thursday in the morning. This is an important part of Lent and coming closer to God. Please encourage your child to think about their sins and taking their penance seriously.
powerschool
Please check grades on power school. If you child is missing any work, please look at home to see if it is there. If you can not find the work, I am more than willing to provide another copy of most assignments.
living stations
A tradition here at St. Bernard is the presentation of the Living Stations by the 8th grade class. This is a great way for students to actually see the journey Jesus went on during his time and the great sacrifices we make. I encourage all to attend. They will be performed the week before Easter. I will let you know exact dates and times next week.
locks of love
A note from Mrs. Lani:
Our Locks of Love event is Friday, May 5th. If there are any girls wanting to donate hair or any boys that want a cut, please contact me. They need to be preregistered to participate that day.
Thanks! Mrs. Lani

digging deeper in math
Students have started Unit 7 in math: Fractions. While this can be a daunting concept, our focus in third grade is for students to understand that a fraction is a part of a whole. They should understand a numerator and denominator. We will also work on comparing fractions and equivalent fractions. Students will be bringing home more homework due to the need for more in class instruction. So far, students are doing well and I hope that continues. They are more than welcome to bring their books home so that you can see what we do in class.
recess weather
Even though spring is here, please continue to send your child to school with a light jacket and hat. It is still windy and cold during recess time, so a hat is helpful.
